Al Throwers’ soul winged its flight from this world into eternal life on December 30, 2020, He passed peacefully at home. He was born in Jacksonville Florida on March 31, 1929 to Morris and Dollie Thrower. He is predeceased by his brother, Michael Thrower and is survived by his sister Nellie Stone, children Debbie Rhoads (Alan), Frank Thrower (Heidi), Cindy Gillen, Al Thrower, Jr (Stacey), David Thrower (Agnes), 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren 4 wonderful sister-in-law‘s and a host of many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Al was a devoted husband and father who loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much.
He liked to joke about his Family Tree being Full of Nuts! Being raised as a Military Child he spent his formative years living in various areas, Including Key West, Panama and Frankfurt Germany experiencing historically relevant events that unfolded around him. Al was a little league coach and umpire for many years. He worked the Kairos Prison Ministry in Georgia touching many lives along the way.
A Celebration of Life for Al will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00am at Archer Funeral Home, 55 N. Lake Ave., Lake Butler, FL. A viewing will begin at 10:30am. The service will be officiated by Father Alex Farmer.
