Ruby Lee Rhein

Ms. Ruby Rhein, age 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 5, 2021 at the Lake City Medical Center, Lake City, FL. Ms. Rhein was born February 20, 1941 in Lawrenceville, GA to the late Golden Edwards and Maggie Nichols Edwards McGaha. She grew up in the outskirts of Atlanta, GA and moved to Tampa, FL in 1972 where she raised her children. After her children grew up, she and her husband, Ted, moved to Kentucky where they lived until his death in 2001. Ms. Rhein then moved to Brooker, FL where she has resided for the last 15 years. She was a homemaker, but for over 20 years she sold Avon cosmetics. While her husband was alive, they enjoyed going fishing together. Ms. Rhein was a big fan of WWE wrestling and enjoyed watching American Idol, the Voice and soap operas. She was an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 30 years, Mr. Theodore (Ted) Rhein and her nephew, Hal Lowe.

Ms. Rhein is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Greg) Roberts of Brooker, FL, Teresa Adams of Brooker, FL, and Sheila (Vance) Krusa of Tampa, FL; her sister, Margie (Ronnie) Pettis of Lilburn, GA; her grandchildren, Serena Roberts and Logan Krusa; her great-granddaughter, Madison Mikell and her nieces, Karen Barlev and Renee Cooke both of Georgia.

A funeral service to honor Ms. Rhein will be held at 4:00pm on Wednesday, February 10th at the Archer Funeral Home Chapel, Lake Butler, FL. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 3:00pm. Ms. Rhein will be laid to rest next to her husband at 2:00pm on Friday, February 12th at Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz, KY.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Archer Funeral Home, Lake Butler. 386-496-2008 www.archerfuneralhome.com
