Linda Patricia Vencil

Linda P. Vencil passed away the evening of February 14th, 2020. Linda was born July 11th, 1948 in Jacksonville, Florida. Linda spent most of her life residing in Alachua, FL. She worked as a bookkeeper at Jacksonville Eye Center for 37 years, beginning her tenure in 1983. Here she fostered a close-knit work family where she was a blessing to all she came in contact with. Linda was a mother of two beautiful children, grandmother of seven grandchildren who were her world, and recently became a great-grandmother. Linda’s passions and hobbies all centered around her kids and grandkids. She was very active and present in all their lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Woodrow Putman, her late husband, Larry Vencil; father of her children, Steve Morris; brothers, Lanny Putman and Larry Putman.

Linda leaves behind to cherish her memories two children, Shaun Morris and Traci (Sidney) Stidham; seven grandchildren, Megan (Matt) Hull, Nathan Stidham, Garrett Morris, Erin Stidham, Taylor Morris, Alexis Morris and Jacob Stidham; one great-granddaughter, Maggie Hull; two step-sons, Todd Vencil and David (Celia) Vencil; four step-grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy Hargiss and Sonny Putman. She also leaves behind her lifelong friend Barbara Hammock and her Jacksonville Eye Center/RPS family.

A service to honor Linda will be held Friday, February 21st at 2:30pm at the Archer Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 2pm. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Archer Funeral Home, Lake Butler. 386-496-2008 archerfuneralhome.com
