Dorothy Bradley Davis, 92, died peacefully at her Glen St. Mary home on Thursday, Oct. 8th. Born on January 6, 1928 to Benjamin Franklin Bradley and Mabel Crews Powers. She married her husband of 64 years, Ralph Davis, on Thanksgiving Day, 1949.
Mrs. Davis was one of Baker County’s first students to attend duel-enrollment classes with the University of Florida and she also taught 5th grade at the Glen School during her final years in high school. She was a faithful member of Raiford Road Church, taught Sunday School for 39 years, and actively participated in mission trips. Dorothy was an incredible wife, mother, and Nana Ralph. She was known as an excellent seamstress who in her spare time enjoyed working in the yard and cooking dinners for her large family (who held her biscuits in the highest regard.)
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Davis and her twin sons Gary and Terry. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Kathy (Gary) Barber, Wanda Sue (John) Raulerson, and Dayle (John) Milton; her 9 grandchildren, Tracy Archambault, Todd Barber, Kara Griffith, Kanon Simmons, AnnaDayle Fuss, Garrett Milton, J.D.
