Denise Dowling Anderson

Mrs. Denise Dowling Anderson, age 60, of Lake Butler, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2019, at the University of Florida Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. She was born on June 9, 1959, to the late Thomas A. Dowling and Mrs. Lila Seay Dowling Barber. Mrs. Denise was a lifelong resident of Union County and worked with the Department of Corrections and the Union County School Board for a total of 30 years until her retirement in 2007. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church in Worthington Springs. Mrs. Denise was an amazing woman whose world revolved around others, especially her grandchildren. They were her heart. Mrs. Denise is preceded in death by her father, Mr. Thomas A. Dowling.

Mrs. Denise leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Daniel E. Anderson of Lake Butler, FL; son, Kyle (Beth) Anderson of Lake Butler, FL; daughter, Kaci (Aaron) Tetstone of Lake Butler, FL; mother, Lila (Ted) Barber of Lake Butler, FL; grandchildren, Brady, Jenson, and Adleigh Monroe all of Lake Butler, FL; brother, Dennis (Teresa) Dowling of Worthington Springs, FL; nephew, Zachary (Rachel) Dowling of Alachua, FL; numerous extended family members also survive.

There will be a Celebration of Denise’s Life on Friday, July 26, at 6:30 pm, at her church, Sardis Baptist Church in Worthington Springs, FL. The family will receive friends for a fellowship and gathering beginning at 5:30 pm, at the church. Reverend Joseph Fitzpatrick and Reverend Jeremy Crawford will be officiating the service.
