Willie James Lee

Willie James Lee (Uncle Bill) was born on November 11, 1949 to the late Joe Lee and Mary Pearl Robinson Lee in Bartow, Florida. Mr. Lee and his sister lived in Mayo, Florida with their Grandmother before moving to Lake Butler to live with their Aunt Verna Mae.

Mr. Lee spent many years working as a timber worker and some farm work. He loved going fishing with his good buddy Rome. He also enjoyed playing pool and watching some of his favorite western shows.

On Tuesday, morning, February 9, 2021, at the home of his niece, out Lord and Savior saw fit to rescue him from anymore pain and carried him home. Although he’s no longer with us God still gets all the glory for blessing us with his presence for 71 years. He may be gone, but he will forever be in our hearts!

Preceded him in death was his loving sister, Nettie Pearl Allen. Mr. Lee leaves to mourn his absence, his son Willie Smith (Nadine) of Jacksonville, Florida; 2 grandsons, Nathaniel and Emmanuel Smith both of Jacksonville; one niece who loved him dearly, Patricia Watkins; one great-niece Lashae Mitchell both of Lake Butler, Florida; two great-nephews, CJ Spiller (Daysha) of Six Mile, South Carolina and Darren Alexander of New Orleans, Louisiana; great-great niece and nephew, Shania and Aiden; and one special cousin, Bennie Hudson of Jacksonville, Florida. A host of cousins and loving friends, 3 special friends, Rome and Kim Givens and Betty Jones.

A graveside service for Mr. Lee will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Ft. Call Cemetery, Worthington Springs, FL. The family has requests to practice social distancing and that masks be worn at the service.
