Mr. William “Bill” Alan Eagleston, age 63, of Lake Bulter, passed away on August 6, 2023, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was born on April 16, 1960, in Huntington, WV, to Robert Eagleston and Alice Lodwick. After graduating high school, Bill enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served 4 years. After his service, he went to work for Metal Container Corporation where he worked for 28 years in the Gainesville plant and 5 more years in Jacksonville before his retirement in 2018. Bill loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Robert and Leatrice Eagleston; his mother and stepfather, Alice and Walter Caskey; and his granddaughter, Gracie Gill.
Bill leaves behind his loving wife of 44 years, Lisa (Bielling) Eagleston of Lake Butler; daughter, Leslie Cannon; son, Billy (Tara) Eagleston all of Lake Butler; 3 grandchildren, Logan, Kylie, and Landyn; his brother, Bobby Eagleston; numerous extended families also survive.
A funeral to honor Bill’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 9, at 11:00 am, at Providence Village Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 10:00 am, at the church. His interment, with military honors, will be at Old Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro.
