William “Ricky” Richard Alvarez

William “Ricky” Richard Alvarez, age 60, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on May 7, 1965, Ricky was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend who touched the lives of many with his kind heart, sharp wit, and unwavering loyalty.

Ricky is survived by his devoted parents, Owen and Julia Alvarez. He also leaves behind his cherished sister, Rhonda Alvarez, his wife, Angie Alvarez of Tennessee, and his son, Andrew Lane (Hope), also of Tennessee, a loving “Papa” to their children, who brought him immense joy and laughter and many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Randy Alvarez, with whom he is now joyfully reunited with in Heaven.

Ricky had a deep love for family and always made time to celebrate life’s big and small moments with those closest to him. He had a special bond with his many nieces and nephews, who admired him and will carry forward his memory with love and pride.

A hardworking and humble man, Ricky was known for his dependable nature and willingness to help others. Whether lending a hand, sharing a story, or cracking a well-timed joke, Ricky brought warmth and comfort wherever he went.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Ricky’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2025, at Pine Level Baptist Church in Starke, Florida. Family visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Graveside service will immediately follow at Conner Cemetery.

Though he may be gone from our sight, Ricky will forever remain in our hearts. His spirit lives on through the love he gave and the memories we will cherish always.
