Tyson Lane "Bug" Woodland, a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend, took his final ride on May 29, 2025, leaving us far too soon at the young age of 18. Born on November 16, 2006, in Gainesville, FL, Tyson was a true motoring enthusiast who couldn't resist getting his hands greasy from the tender age of a kid. His lifelong passion for motors had everyone convinced he could fix anything with an engine — and probably a few things without one!
Tyson was a proud graduate of the Union County High School class of 2025, where he not only mastered mechanics but also enjoyed playing baseball and being an active member of the FFA. Did we mention he was always the life of the party? With a contagious smile and a heart of gold, Tyson never met a stranger. Kids adored him, and he returned the affection whole-heartedly, his joyful spirit lighting up any room he entered.
In what can only be described as a well-rounded life, Tyson had hobbies that included mudding with friends, riding four-wheelers, hunting, and indulging in a diet that included pickles, Dr. Pepper, and tomatoes — because who doesn't? Simply put, he was a boy who lived life to the fullest and embraced every adventure with open arms.
Tyson is preceded in the death by his paternal grandmother, Kimberly Kaye Brown and uncles, Wendell Brown and Colby Harrison.
Tyson's family, who cherished him dearly, includes his father, Kendall (Veronica) Woodland and his mother, Kelley Lane, all of Lake Butler; his sisters, Harley and Avery Woodland of Keystone; his grandparents Woody and Regina Lane and Rick and Susan Brown all of Worthington Springs; his Meme, Barbara Harrison; his aunts and uncles, Kasey Adkins of Starke, Kristen Woodland of Lake City, Caytlyn (Justin) Denunzio of Lake Butler, Clay (Falyn) Halle of Lake Butler, Sadie Brown of Lake Butler and Alecia (Rob) Lukatz of Lake Butler; his great-grandmother Ruby Aline and his best friend, his dog, Bella, also survive.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tyson's extraordinary life at a visitation and funeral service on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Sardis Baptist Church in Worthington Springs. The visitation will start at 2:00 PM, followed by the service at 3:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at Elzey Chapel Cemetery.
Here's to Bug—may we always remember the laughter, the kind-hearted spirit, and the adventures that define this incredible young man as we keep his memory alive in our hearts!
