Travis Rogers, age 48, passed away on June 5, 2024. Born on May 25, 1976, in Lake City, FL, to Wilbur and Rita Roger, Travis was a lifelong resident of Union County, loving son, father, brother, and friend.
Educated at Union County High School, Travis graduated in 1994 before receiving a football scholarship to Wofford College. At Wofford College, he excelled in sports until an unfortunate injury cut short his athletic career. Despite the setback, Travis remained resilient and focused on building a fulfilling life.
Travis had an innate ability to bring laughter into any room he entered; his witty personality and charm made him the life of the party wherever he went.
Travis had a deep passion sports; whether he was umpiring, participating, or watching, his love of the game shown through. An avid card player, especially enjoying poker, Travis always found time to engage in friendly competition with friends and family.
Travis is survived by his children: Travis Rogers Jr. of South Carolina, Trevor (Audrey) Rogers of Tennessee, and Jolena Rogers of Lake Butler; his father and mother Wilbur and Rita Rogers; his brother Wilbur "B.B." (Loree) Rogers II; his grandmother Cora Rogers; as well as his former wife Joni Rogers of Alabama.
Services to honor and celebrate the life of Travis Rogers will be held at the Archer-Milton Funeral Home on Thursday, June 13th. A visitation will take place from 10:00am to 11:00am followed by a funeral service beginning at 11:00am.
