Timothy Wayne Gibbs, age 66, passed away on May 26, 2026, at his home in Lake Butler. Born on August 25, 1959, in Brunswick, Georgia, Mr. Gibbs was a man marked by his intelligence, dedication to continuous learning, and meticulous attention to detail.

A graduate of Baker County High School in 1977, Timothy distinguished himself academically, earning the highest SAT score in his school for many years—a testament to his sharp intellect and love of knowledge. Immediately following his graduation, he joined the United States Navy, serving his country with honor.

Throughout his life, Timothy applied his considerable skills across various fields, embodying the spirit of a skilled jack of many trades, including carpentry, roadside flagging, and taxi driving, Beyond his work, he found great joy in reading and was an avid enthusiast of tabletop games. His passion extended to complex strategy games such as Dungeons & Dragons and Skyward, for which he not only played but also crafted his own game pieces. Additionally, Timothy would construct trainsets from wood, showcasing his craftsmanship.

Timothy’s dedication to family was evident in the cherished relationships he maintained. He is survived by his sister, Danita Crews, and his brother, Ted Gibbs, who, along with a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved deeply as his own, remain his living legacy. He was preceded in death by his wife and love of his life, Mirielle C. Gribbs, his parents Job and Sylvia Gibbs, and his brother Terry Gibbs.
