Teresa Cantrell McCollough

Teresa Cantrell McCollough, age 54, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025, at the North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, FL, after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born on September 28, 1970, in Yazoo City, MS, where her roots took hold, and her spirit blossomed in the heart of Mississippi. In 2015, she made the move to Florida, embracing new horizons alongside her husband, Ty McCollough, with whom she shared twenty beautiful years of life.

Throughout her life, Teresa brought a sense of happiness and wit that was palpable to all who knew her. Her subtle humor lit up the lives of many, making ordinary moments feel extraordinary. Teresa worked in accounts payable for Pritchett Trucking from 2016 until illness forced her to retire at the beginning of the year, demonstrating her unwavering dedication and commitment to her responsibilities.

Though Teresa faced her illness with a strength that inspired those around her, it was her role as "Mimi" to her cherished grandchildren that brought her the most pride and joy. She adored Graysen, Kaiden, Colson, Annalise, Augustus, and looked forward to the arrival of her newest grandchild, Sinclair. They were her heartbeats, the very essence of her being, and the source of countless treasured memories.

Her love extended beyond her grandchildren. Teresa is survived by her adoring children: Chesley, Sterling, Kayla, and Kyle; and her siblings, Blue Cantrell, Trish Alridge, and Tony White. She is preceded in death by her parents, Olan Cantrell and Shelby Jean Littlejohn.

In honoring Teresa's spirit, a Celebration of Life will take place at her home in Starke, FL, on June 28, 2025, beginning at noon. Here, friends and family will gather to share stories and reminisce about a remarkable woman whose life, though far too brief, was woven with laughter, love, and cherished moments.
