Shirley Jane Bridgman, 75 of Lake Butler, passed away July 20, 2025 at Bedrock Nursing Home in Lake City Florida following an extended illness with Parkinson's Disease. Shirley was born in Jacksonville Fl on September 27,1949 to her late parents Joseph and Mildred Bridgman.
Shirley was a great cook and loved experimenting in the kitchen. She also enjoyed reading, listening to country music and watching her soaps. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family, especially relishing the moments with the little ones. She loved Christmas and cherished seeing the kids dressed up for Halloween. Shirley loved watching her sports; football, basketball, tennis and gymnastics. Her favorite teams were Union County Tigers, Florida Gators and Miami Dolphins.
Shirley was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Lake Butler and was actively involved as Secretary for several years. Shirley also worked a decade as a Secretary for the County Extension Office.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mildred Bridgman along with her siblings Joann Manning, June Turrill, Janice Bridgman, Jennifer Williams and Johnny Bridgman. She is survived by her son, Travis Williams (Christina) Grandchildren, Blaine, Ayden and Ashlyn Williams all of Lake Butler. Her sisters, Judie Davis (Wayne) of Saraland, Alabama, Diane Saunders (Steve) and Linda Morton and Brother, David Bridgman (Lulamae) of Lake Butler, Fl along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Shirley's warmth, love and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A Memorial Service in Shirleys honor will be held on Saturday, Aug 9,2025 at 11:00a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church of Lake Butler with Paster Danny Fouraker and Paster Mike Norman Officiating.
