Rosemary Broskey Strickland

Ms. Rosemary Broskey Strickland, age 95 of Starke, passed away peacefully on Monday June 17, 2013 at the Bradford Terrace Nursing Home after an extended illness. Ms. Strickland was born on March 8, 1918 in Baker County to the late James E. and Laura C. Kirkland Broskey. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Earl Strickland. Ms. Strickland is survived by her three daughters: Evelyn (Ronald) Goodman of Starke, Ethel Osman of Hampton, GA and Laura (Michael) Paris of Starke; two sons: George Strickland of Starke and James (Brenda) Strickland of Lake Butler; two brothers: Carl and Arthur Broskey and two sisters: Verna Mae Davis of Starke and Earline Davis of Hollister. Eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Ms. Strickland will be conducted Thursday June 20, 2013 at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Archer Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Jackson officiating. Internment will follow in the Kingsley Lake Cemetery in Clay County. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
