Ronald Austin Martin, 66, of Newberry, Florida, passed away on March 12, 2026, in High Springs, Florida. He was born July 26, 1959, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Terry F. Martin and Patricia J. Moore.

He was preceded in death by his father, Terry F. Martin, and his brother, Danny W. Martin (Bonnie).

He is survived by his sisters, Cynthia J. Blanton (Gary) and Teresa Keppel, as well as extended family and friends.

Ronald worked as an electrician and served for more than 20 years in the maintenance department at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. He was also a member of IBEW Local 1205 in Gainesville.

Ronnie enjoyed the simple things in life and loved the outdoors. He spent his time fishing, hunting, farming, and raising cattle and pigs. He especially cherished the memories of growing up with his siblings in the watermelon fields of Newberry, Florida, on his grandpa Austin Martin’s farm.

Ronald will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love of family, and his appreciation for the simple joys of country life. Ronnie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service to honor Ronnie's life will be held at Forest Grove Cemetery, Alachua, FL, on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
