Robert Lee Cason passed away December 25th, at the age of 75, with his family around him, at North Florida Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born on May 28, 1939, in Raiford, Florida.
Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy Clyatt Cason, his two children, Joy and Robbie (Jolleen) and his three grandchildren, Molly, Caleb, and Bailey, and his brother Jack Cason (Tessie) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Alice Cason, his siblings, Ray and Joe Bryan, Blanche Johnson, Jimmy Cason, and Joyce Norman.
He was a founding member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Raiford, Florida.
Robert was an employee of the Florida Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Jacksonville, in the 1960's and was a lifetime rancher, farmer, and lover of the outdoors. He farmed the ranch that was begun by his grandfather, Davis Cason, in 1860. Funeral services for Robert will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church in Raiford, on Saturday, December 27th. The visitation is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and the funeral service immediately following, at 2:00 p.m.
