With heavy hearts and joyful memories, we celebrate the life of the vibrant and beloved Rachel Lynn, who illuminated our lives from February 17, 1977, until her peaceful departure on February 24, 2026. Born in Gainesville, FL, Rachel's warmth and vivacity drew everyone around her close. She was an outgoing and outspoken spirit, always ready to embrace life with open arms and a contagious smile.
Rachel's career as a Paraprofessional for the Union County Schools was a true reflection of her immense compassion and dedication. She tirelessly served the ESE children, nurturing their potential and forging connections that inspired growth and learning.
A proud mother, Rachel reveled in every moment spent with her adoring children: Avery (Gigi) Griffis, Ethan (Journie) Griffis, Preston Griffin, Dallas Salter, and Winston Dukes. Her roles as a mother and grandmother to Bodhi Griffis brought her boundless joy and fulfillment, and she took pride in those precious connections.
Beyond her career and family, Rachel had a heart that overflowed with love for animals. Her home was a lively haven filled with dogs, rabbits, and her beloved goats, which held a special place in her heart. She passionately engaged with her kids in 4H, sharing her knowledge and love of animals with the younger generation. A true girly girl at heart, Rachel also indulged in the excitement of shopping trips and loaded teas, relishing the sweet pleasures of life.
Rachel is lovingly remembered by her husband, Charley Craig, and her loving mother, Linda Trowell Reed and is predeceased by her father, Michael Reed.
Join us in honoring Rachel’s beautiful legacy. A visitation will be held on February 28, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM, both at Archer-Milton Funeral Home. During this time, we can all gather together to share cherished stories, laughter, and the love that Rachel shared throughout her life.
