Phyllis Gail Lesley

Ms. Phyllis Gail Lesley, age 74, of Starke passed away peacefully on May 31st at E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville, FL. Phyllis was born in Easley, South Carolina to the late Fulton and Inis Fender Lesley. She was a businesswoman and sold produce for many years. Phyllis loved the Lord and really enjoyed listening to the Gospel and good preaching. Other than God, her children came first in her life, however, helping others gave her great joy. Phyllis loved going to the mountains and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a great mother and will be deeply missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Edwin Lesley and sister, Darlene Lesley.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Calvin Marshall Clemons, Sr. of Starke; son, Calvin “Marshall” Clemons, Jr. of Starke; daughter, Marie Clemons Beigert of Starke; grandchildren, Lesley, Ashley, Brandon, Matthew and Cameron; great-grandchildren, Adalyn, Gracelyn, Kennedy, Scarlette, Aubree and Brantley; brother, Tommy (Sherry) Lesley of Wolf Laurel, NC.

A service to honor Phyllis will be held on Monday, June 8 at 2pm at the Archer Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 1pm.
