Paulette Griffis, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at the age of 81. Born in Lake Butler on March 17, 1945, Paulette’s life was one that touched many and left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Paulette was the cherished daughter of the late T.S. Thomas Jr. and Pauline Thomas. From her earliest years in Lake Butler, she embodied warmth, kindness, and an unwavering sense of family loyalty—qualities that defined her relationships throughout her life.
Throughout her journey, Paulette was blessed with a loving and devoted husband, Ressie Griffis, with whom she built a life filled with love and shared purpose. Together, they raised a close-knit family and created a home that was always filled with laughter, support, and deep affection.
Paulette’s legacy lives on through her children: her sons Paul Griffis and Danny Griffis; her daughter Brandie Webb; and her son Steven Statham. She also leaves behind Paul’s wife, Christy Griffis, whose bond with Paulette was one of mutual respect and affection.
Her devotion extended to her beloved grandchildren, Travis and Braxton, who brought immense joy and pride into her life. In addition to her immediate family, Paulette is survived by her brothers, Jimmy Thomas and Danny Thomas, along with her sisters-in-law, Tina Thomas and Mary Thomas. Their close connections were a testament to the meaningful relationships Paulette nurtured over the years.
Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, T.S. Thomas Jr. and Pauline Thomas, as well as her brother, Tommy Thomas, whose memories she cherished dearly, and her grandchild, Kodie Starling.
Paulette’s life will be celebrated with a viewing on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Archer-Milton Funeral Home, located at 55 N Lake Ave, Lake Butler, FL. A funeral service will follow at the same location, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, burial will take place at Dekle Cemetery, 970 SW 4th Ave, Lake Butler, FL.
Those who knew Paulette will remember her as a woman of quiet strength, immeasurable love, and unwavering devotion to her family. The memory of her gentle spirit and the countless ways in which she enriched the lives of those around her will remain a source of comfort and inspiration.
She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
