Olen Calvin Tolleson

Mr. Olen Calvin Tolleson, age 92, of Lake Butler, passed away on Tuesday July 30, 2013, at the Shands at University of Florida Hospital in Gainesville after an sudden illness. Mr. Tolleson was born in Atlanta, Texas on January 24, 1921, to the Late William and Ora Steed Tolleson and had lived in Lake Butler since 1963. Mr. Tolleson was a World War II veteran having served in the United States Navy in the Philippines. Mr. Tolleson worked for many years with Florida Gas as an engineer; he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lake Butler, the American Legion and the Texas Masons #463. Mr. Tolleson is survived by his loving wife of 69 years: Ellouise Patterson Tolleson of Lake Butler; Daughter: Kathleen Speed (Jim) of Madisonville, TN; Sons: Joe Tolleson (Donna) of Brooker and Billy Wayne Tolleson (Becky) of Pensacola. Seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Tolleson will be conducted on Saturday August 3, 2013, at 11AM in the First Baptist Church of Lake Butler with Pastor Jason Johns officiating. Internment will follow in Dekle Cemetery. The Family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
