Mrs. Hazel Bivins Rhoden

Mrs. Hazel Bivins Rhoden, age 84, of Lake Butler, passed away peacefully on Saturday September 28, 2013 at the Shands at U.F. Hospital in Gainesville after an extended illness. Mrs. Rhoden was born on December 25, 1928 in Lake Butler to the late William Crawford and Pearl Reeves Crawford. Mrs. Rhoden was a life long resident of Union County and was a Homemaker. Mrs. Rhoden was a member of the Danville Church of Christ. Mrs. Rhoden is preceded in death by her husbands: Leonard Bivins and Ray Rhoden; sister: Carriebell Richards and brother: Ernest Crawford.

Mrs. Rhoden is survived by her sons: Dale Bivins (Sandra) of Lake Butler; Gary Bivins of Lake Butler and Randal Bivins (Tammy) of Lake Butler. Three grandchildren: Stephanie Lewis, Stephen Bivins and Brandon Bivins; Four great-grandchildren; brothers: James Crawford (Rosie) of Jacksonville and Melvin Crawford of Keystone Heights; sisters: Mae Croft (Dillon) of Lake Butler and Maude Voltz of Atlanta, GA also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rhoden will be conducted on Tuesday October 1, 2013 at 11 A.M. in the Chapel of Archer Funeral Home with Danny Robert officiating. Internment will follow in the Midway Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening September 30, 2013 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
