Misty Dawn Lilly

Misty Dawn Lilly, a beloved woman with a heart of gold, has left an indelible mark on the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. With a giving personality and a remarkable ability to find the good in everyone and everything, Misty brought her warmth and unconditional love to every encounter. 
 
Born on October 19, 1976, in Camp Lejeune, NC, Misty's journey through life was filled with adventure and compassion. She overcame many difficulties to raise her children, find her faith, and marry the man she loved. Throughout her career, Misty dedicated herself to excellent customer service and sales. For two decades, she worked tirelessly at Sanderson Pipe Company before finding a new home at Auto Insurance Depot of North Florida. 
 
Misty's infectious joy extended beyond her professional life. She had a passion for discovering new experiences. She loved anything to do with the water, whether it be swimming, snorkeling, or just seeing it. Traveling allowed her to immerse herself in different cultures and indulge her love for trying diverse cuisines. On several occasions, she even had the privilege to witness the culinary prowess of the renowned Iron Chef Morimoto in Orlando. She was both the prankster who would make you laugh and the cornerstone that supported all those that she loved. 
 
Tragically, on January 7, 2024, the world lost this exceptionally kind soul as she peacefully passed away from her earthly home and into her heavenly one. 
 
To honor and celebrate Misty's life, a visitation will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Archer-Milton Funeral Home in Lake Butler, FL from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. Following the visitation, a funeral service will commence at 3:00pm. She will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Swift Creek/Mt. Zion Cemetery in Lake Butler. Anyone who attends is encouraged to wear purple, Misty’s favorite color, in her honor of her life. 
 
Misty leaves behind her loving husband of 14 years, Glenn Lilly of Lake City; her children: Darius Morris of Nashville, TN, Christopher Mattox of Muskegon, MI, and Shayla Smith (Dillan) of Sanderson, FL; her stepchildren: Devenn Lilly of Indiana and Calla Lilly of New York. In addition to her husband and children, Misty will be greatly missed by her mother, Melanie Baker of Lake Butler; and her siblings, Michael Fernandez of Lake Butler and Ronnie Moore of Lawtey. She is preceded in death by their baby brother, Ryan Moore. Misty also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
