With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Francis "Mike" Flynn. Born on March 13, 1954, in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, Mike brought his big infectious smile into this world, a smile that could light up even the darkest of days. He left us on November 5, 2025, at his home in Lake Butler, Florida, surrounded by the love of his family.
Mike was a devoted family man, the proud husband of Susie Flynn for 15 wonderful years. He found joy in his role as dad and his dedication was unmatched, never missing a single sporting event, practice, or Girl Scout gathering for his beloved children, Fallon Frances, Travis James, and Chelsea Christine. His passion for family gatherings was evident; he loved being with his kin and was always up for a good time. His grandson, Beckham Flynn, was surely a sparkle in his eye.
Mike is also survived by his brothers, Johnny, Tommy, Jimmy, Timmy, Billy, Pat, and Paul Flynn, and his sister, Jeanie Marie Turner.
After high school, Mike attended trade school for masonry in Coatesville, PA, where his journey in construction began. With a remarkable career spanning 45 years, Mike was the proud owner of Mike Flynn's Masonry and Construction. He was a master mason, skilled in his trade, and could turn his hand to just about anything in construction. Having moved to Florida in the 1978, he not only honed his craft but also took an active role in the community, becoming a member of New Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Aside from work, Mike enjoyed golfing, however, he lived for the fall. That time he could spend in the tree stand waiting for the next big buck to come around or just get some more quality time with his daughter or friends. Fall season also meant he could cheer on his beloved Philadelphia Eagles, "Fly, Eagles, Fly". In whatever he was doing, Mike's laughter and smile were contagious, most often shared with family and friends.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Jean Flynn.
A visitation in honor of Mike will be held at New Oak Grove Baptist Church in Alachua, Florida, on November 21, 2025, starting at 10:30 AM, with a memorial service following at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Terry Elixson officiating. Mike's final memorialization will be by cremation under the care and direction of Archer-Milton Funeral Home. 386-496-2008 www.archerfuneralhome.com
