Mary Geraldine Edlin, known affectionately as Grandma, passed away peacefully at her home in Macclenny, FL on August 9, 2023. She will be remembered as a hardworking and sassy individual who brought joy and laughter to everyone around her.

Born on November 1, 1928, in Louisville, KY, Geraldine was a true force of nature. Her vibrant personality shone brightly in every aspect of her life. With an infectious sense of humor and an unwavering love for fun, she made sure to bring smiles to the faces of those fortunate enough to know her. Geraldine had an undeniable zest for life that was evident in her hobbies and interests. Playing cards and scouring thrift stores were among Geraldine's favorite pastimes. Whether it was a friendly game of UNO with close friends or finding hidden treasures amidst racks of second-hand clothes, she always found joy in these simple pleasures. Geraldine was not just about having fun; she also possessed a genuine caretaker's heart. Her nurturing nature resonated deeply with her loved ones. She was the beloved wife of Louis Edlin for over 51 years. Together they built a life filled with love and sweet companionship. Their bond stood as a testament to their unwavering commitment to one another. Geraldine was a devote catholic and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Geraldine will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family: her daughter, Janet Kay Carroll; granddaughters, Krista (Steve) Jones and Halley Hobbs; great-granddaughter, Chelsea Leigh Bullard; honorary granddaughter, Brandi Pifer and Hella, the beloved granddog. Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mary Virginia Wise; her husband, Louis Edlin; and sons, Gary Michael and Gregg Edlin.

A Celebration of Geraldine's life will be held on her birthday, November 1st. Details will be posted at a later date.
