Maria "Mia" Teresa Davis

Maria Teresa Marino Davis, age 37, passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2020, in Gainesville, FL.  She was born in Gainesville, FL but lived and graduated high school in Trenton, FL. In 2008, she made her way to Lake Butler as part of a new family and lived there for many years. During this time, she was baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She eventually made her home in Archer, FL. Mia loved animals and worked for Shadd Farms. She was very outgoing and had a personality that would light up a room. She enjoyed being around people and if you ever met her, you never forgot her. Mia also enjoyed the mud bogs, hunting and loved to draw and color. She is preceded in death by her grandfather in-law, Lonnie Earl Waters.

Mia is survived by her daughter, Heaven Armstrong (17) of Cooksville, TN; 2 sons, Joshua Jaye Davis, Jr. (10) of Lake Butler, FL and Jacob Standridge (4) of Archer, FL; her fiancé, Shaun Standridge; his parents, Rita and Earl Standridge all of Archer, FL; her father, Bernard (Dara) Marino of Cape Canaveral, FL; her brother, Austin Marino of Gainesville, FL; her chosen family, Joshua Jaye (Ashley) Davis, Sr.; his parents Ran Jackson and Martha Waters; his grandparents, Frances Waters all of Lake Butler, FL.

A service to honor Mia will be held Saturday, March 7th at 2:00p.m. at the Archer Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends for a visitation on Friday, March 6th from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery.
