Lindsay Spears, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on February 11, 2026, at her home in the embrace of her family, after an extended illness. Born on August 12, 1997, in Gainesville, Florida, Lindsay's vibrant spirit and sense of wit brought joy to all who knew her.
A proud graduate of Hope Baptist Christian School, class of 2015, Lindsay was a talented writer, whose words touched the hearts of many. She had an extraordinary way of engaging people with her wit and humor, always finding a way to lighten the mood and share a laugh. Her love for life was evident in her hobbies; she enjoyed doing her hair and makeup, cheering on the Florida Gators, and most importantly, spending cherished moments with her family. Lindsay’s ability to bring people together through her warmth and kindness will always be remembered.
Lindsay is survived by her devoted parents, Michael and Jackie Spears, her loving brother, JR (Janae) Spears, and her two beloved fur babies, Lilly and Charlie. She also leaves behind her dear Aunt Donna Mapel, along with cousins Sonya and Clay Stack, their children Courtney, Taylor, Tucker, Trey, and Jack; Johnny and Tiffany Hodges with their children, Wyatt (Raelyn) and their children, Riverlyn and Adalyn and Cadence; as well as Jackie, Joey, and Michael Daugherty.
Lindsay was preceded in death by her cherished grandparents, Lavon and Lenwood Kitchens, and Gwen Rhodes, and her Aunt Linda Hodges. Though her time with us was far too brief, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
To honor Lindsay's life, a visitation will be held on February 14, 2026, from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM at Safe Harbor Congressional Church, located at 4409 NW 178th Loop in Starke, Florida. For all who had the pleasure of knowing her, let us come together to celebrate the beautiful life of Lindsay Spears, whose laughter and light will never be forgotten.
