Linda Ann Starling, age 79, passed away peacefully on May 28th, 2024, at Riverwood Health and Rehabilitation in Starke. Ann was born on November 26th, 1944, in Raiford, Florida, to the late Junior Clemons and Betty Jenkins Nalls. Ann will be remembered by all who knew her for her warm, nurturing personality and kind spirit.
Ann was passionate about teaching. She taught young children at Brooker Elementary School for 30 years. Ann loved little children and guided them toward a bright academic future. Ann also taught pre-k Sunday school at New River Baptist Church, where she taught and shared Jesus’s love.
Ann is survived by her husband of 61 years Kenneth (Kenny) Starling. Ann and Kenny stood side by side through every joy and challenge of their lives together. She also leaves behind her sons Randy, Kevin, and Kyle (Trina); her beloved grandchildren: Kenny, Jarred (Sher), Devin, Collin, Lydia, Kyle Jr. (Nicole) Starling and Lindsey (Kurt) Spurlock, and Dawson Starling. Ann also leaves her great granddaughters Olivia and Brynlee Spurlock. Additionally, Ann is survived by her siblings Phil Gainey, Carol McLean, Gail Bymun (Mack), and Lynn Clemons. Ann is pre-deceased by her parents Junior Clemons and Betty Jenkins Nalls and Brother Andy Gainey.
A Visitation will be held for family and friends to honor Ann at her church, New River Baptist in Brooker, Florida, on Tuesday, June 4th at 10AM. This will be followed by a funeral service at 11AM. The church is located at 16703 SW 144th Avenue, Brooker, Florida. Ann will be laid to rest immediately following the service in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Ann’s life can be made to New River Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Archer-Milton Funeral Home.
