Laverta Lee Rains

Laverta Lee Rains, 78, of Starke, FL, peacefully passed away on March 14, 2017. Laverta was born to Cleveland and Erma Lee Cannon in Cedar Key, FL. She was employed by the Alachua County School System. Laverta was proceeded in death by her husband of 25 years, Samuel Rains. She is survived by her brother Udelle "Blue" Cannon and one sister Daphaline Weaver. She is also survived by her three children. Daughters, Donna Lee of Arkansas and Ruth Elma of Tennessee. One son, Julian "Wesley" Rains of Palatka, FL. Laverta is survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her lifelong friend, Rose Addison. Laverta will be missed by many.
