Judy Bryant Ryder

Judy Bryant Ryder, age 64, passed away on October 24, 2025, at Windsor Health and Rehab in Starke, Florida, after an extended illness. Born on October 26, 1960, in Lake Butler, Judy lived a life devoted to her family.

After graduating from Union County High School in 1978, Judy dedicated a good portion of her life to loving and nurturing her family. She took great pride in being a single mother, always working hard to provide for her children. She made a lasting impact during her years working in the cafeteria at Lake Butler Middle School, serving up smiles and meals for 30 years before retiring in 2018. Judy was well-known for her quiet demeanor, but always had her ears perked up to hear all the town gossip.

Those who had the pleasure of knowing her remember her fondness for yard sales and bowling. Judy had a knack for finding treasures wherever she went.

Judy's family includes her beloved son, John Ryder, Jr., and his son, John W. Ryder. She was a dedicated mother to her daughter, Lynn Ryder, and her children: Madison, Daniel "Bubba," and Jonathan Steamer. Her brothers, Jimmy (Debbie) Bryant, Donald (Becky) Bryant, and Frank (Becky) Bryant, along with her sisters, Tammy Suisse and Barbara Ryder, will carry her memory in their hearts, as will her numerous nieces and nephews.

Judy is now reunited with loved ones who have gone before her: her father, Randolph Bryant; her mother, Wilma Ryder; her husband, John Ryder, Sr.; and her siblings, Christine Dyal, Daniel Bryant, Louise Hall, and Joann Bryant.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects to Judy at Archer-Milton Funeral Home in Lake Butler on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. The visitation will start at 11:00 AM, leading into the funeral service at 12:00 PM. All family are invited to Donald and Becky's house after the service for a time to fellowship and continue to celebrate Judy’s life, 13090 NE 230th Place, Raiford, FL 32083.
