Joseph Benny Thornton

- Joseph B. Thornton "Joe" 75 of Lake Butler went home to be with The Lord on April 13, 2018 at the same home place that he was raised at surrounded by his loving family following a lengthy illness.

He was born March 17, 1943 to the late Carl Thornton and Beulah Green Thornton, he lived most of his life at the same home place in the New River area and was married to Dottie Thornton. He was retired from E.I. DuPont and was a farmer. He was a life-long member of Pine Level Baptist Church. He enjoyed farming and giving away his produce, and his family.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Dorothy "Dottie" Thornton, his children, Suzanne Mills, Janice (Joe) Thagard and Blaine Thornton, Four grandchildren and their spouses Ryan (Myra) Faulkner, Brandi (Troy) Jackson, Joshua (Amber) Thornton and Corey Thornton, Eight great grandchildren Alahna, Gavin, Bailey and Gabriel Faulkner, Mason Jackson, Bailee, Talon and Jensen Thornton.
