John Earl Southerland, Jr.

Mr. John Earl Southerland, Jr., age 62, passed away on March 31, 2020 at Shands UF Health in Gainesville. John was born in Bradford County to John Earl, Sr. and Bertha Mae Crews Southerland. John was a resident of Lake Butler and worked in sales with Johnstone Supply Company. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family. John is preceded in death by his father and his wife, Anna Lujune Rush Southerland.

John is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Southerland of Lake Butler; mother, Bertha Mae Southerland; brother, Allen Southerland of Alachua; sisters, Denise (Donald) Crosby and Diane Rush both of Hawthorne; grandchild, Savannah Southerland also survives.

A graveside service to honor John will be held on Tuesday, April 7th at 1:00pm at New Zion Cemetery in Lake Butler. A Celebration of Life service will be held for the public at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler. 386-496-2008 archerfuneralhome.com
