Jesup Dale Thomas was a sweet and special little boy who was born on May 9, 2025, at UF Health Shands in Gainesville, Florida. He was just starting his life, but he was super social and loved talking to everyone. Jesup liked so many fun things! His favorite things were music, books, running around in his walker, crawling around the house, being outside, going on adventures, being in the water, and stealing Mommy's attention. He especially enjoyed when his daddy played the guitar. Jesup loved playing with his twin brother, Jamie, and with their dogs, Jasper and Juniper.

Jesup was taken too soon because of a sudden illness, and he passed away on March 22, 2026, also at UF Health Shands. Even though Jesup’s time was short, he touched so many hearts with his cheerful spirit.

Jesup’s family includes his mommy and daddy, Matthew and Angie Thomas, who loved him so much. His twin brother and best buddy, Jamie. Jesup’s grandparents Cindy Thomas (Bert Andrews) and Philis Driskill and Kirk Driskill always supported him with love. Jesup’s aunts and uncles Heather and Scott Raulerson, Jeremy and Alissa Thomas, and Lee and Haley Driskill also cared very much about him. There was also a special uncle and aunt, Terry Jo and Anita Thomas, and lots and lots of cousins and extended family who all loved Jesup.

Jesup is preceded in death by his grandpa Jimmy Thomas and uncle Jaime Thomas.

Everyone who loved Jesup is invited to come say goodbye at the visitation on March 28, 2026. It will be from 10:00 in the morning until 11:00 at Sardis Baptist Church, located at 3915 Main the funeral service will start at 11:00 and go until 12:00 at the same place.

Jesup was a bright little star who brought joy with his giggles and his love of music and play. Even though Jesup was very little, he made a big difference in the hearts of all the people who loved him. We will all miss him very much and remember him forever.
