Jerry "Greg" Barnett

Mr. Jerry “Greg” Barnett, age 61, of Trenton, Florida, passed away on June 29, at the Park Meadows Health and Rehab Center in Gainesville, FL. Greg was born in Michigan on October 26, 1957 to Cecil and Ora Barnett. He moved to the Gainesville area in the early 1990’s. He is a lifelong A/C mechanic and owned a heating and air company for about 15 years. He loved anything outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also loved to shoot pool, bowl, and go dancing. Greg is preceded by his parents and 8 siblings.

Greg is survived by his wife of 27 years, Patricia Gladnick of Trenton, FL; daughters, April Barnett of Lake Butler, FL and Trish Jones of Lake City, FL; his sons, Jerry (Rebecca) Barnett and Garry Barnett both of Trenton, FL; ten grandchildren, Johnathon, Brooke, Cody, Casey, Katelyn, Blake, Saul, Jr., Adan, Daniel, and Stephen; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronnie, Roger, and Rick Barnett; sisters, Diane, Pearl, Jacklyn, and Barbara; numerous extended family members survive also.

A funeral service to honor Greg’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 3, at 12:00 pm, at the Archer Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 10:00 am at the funeral home. His interment will be at Elzey Chapel Cemetery in Lake Butler, FL.
