Mrs. Ida Mae Weber, age 91, passed away peacefully at her home on August 26, 2019. Ms. Weber was born on May 8, 1928, in Westminster, SC, to the late Archie B. and Essie B Andrews Powell. Mrs. Weber resided in Summerville, South Carolina for most of her life. She recently moved to Worthington Springs, FL to be with her daughter.  She worked in Administration for the Department of Defense and retired from there in the late 80s. Mrs. Weber was an avid bridge player and played approximately 4 times a week after retirement until the last year before her death.  She was a long time member, after marrying her husband in 1950, of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church after being Baptist before. She was on the founding board of directors to establish the Flowertown Festival in Summerville, SC. She was involved in getting the YMCA active in Summerville and even established “Teen Town” for the teens of the area as well as managed the nursery at church.  

 Mrs. Weber traveled, camped, and fished extensively all over the United States, with her husband Billy, always saying this was the best country on Earth.  She loved life and happiness was her outlook on it.  An avid vegetable and flower gardener that seemed to supply the neighbors with fruits, vegetables and flowers for all seasons. And to the very day she died, she loved to have bird feeders and watch birds eating. Hummingbirds were her favorites.

 Mrs. Weber is preceded her in death were her husband of 58 years, William Herbert Weber (Billy), her oldest son, William Wayne Weber, and younger son, Stephenson Lamar Weber.
