Harold Glisson

Mr. Harold Glisson, age 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Starke, FL on January 23, 2020. Harold was born in Georgia to the late William Daniel and Vina Lou Spivey Glisson. Harold worked as an Environmental protection maintenance mechanic with the State of Florida until his retirement. Harold was a cowboy; roping, riding, training and raising cattle and horses on his farm. He loved spending time with his family and was an active member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Starke, FL. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, I.W. Glisson and Edward Glisson and sister, Betty Dugger.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Joanne Glisson of Starke, FL; sons, Victor (Pattie) Glisson of Lebanon, TN, Brenton Glisson of Portland, TN and Joshua Glisson of Starke, FL; daughters, Lyn Long, Pamela Glisson, Debbie Glisson and Lindsey Glisson all of Starke, FL; grandchildren, Stewart Glisson, Aaron Glison, Andrew Glisson, Olivia Glisson and Zachary Rogers; great-grandchildren, Jadie and Shaelyn Rogers and 6 out-of-state great-grandchildren also survive.

A graveside service to honor Harold will be held at Dedan Cemetery on Tuesday, January 28th at 11:00am. Arrangements are under the care and direction of ARCHER FUNERAL HOME of Lake Butler, FL. 386-496-2008
