Frances Boyd

Mrs. Frances Gay Boyd, age 81, of Macclenny, passed away on March 3, 2023, at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital. She was born on August 26, 1941, in Providence, FL, to Lewis M. and Iona Granger Gay. She grew up in Union County and moved to Macclenny about 20 years ago. She retired from caretaking and was a member of the Road to Calvary Church in Glen St. Mary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edward Boyd; her children, Dennis M. Williams and Cynthia Williams Eiff; her sisters, Velma Lowe, Lois Brown, Ethel Ogburn, Offie Lee Gay, and Katherine Gay Patterson; and her brothers, Ray Gay, J.E. Gay, Drew (Brittian) Gay, and James Coker.

She is survived by her son, Deryl John Williams of Lake City; grandchildren, Jessie Williams, Brandon Williams, Lyndsey Williams, Kayla Eiff and Brandi Eiff; great-grandchildren, Cole Williams, Kylee Williams, Skilyn Brinson-Williams, Alexis Rengering, Alaynna Rengering, Everleigh Richards, and Kayden Richards; her sister, Fay Martin; and numerous extended family.

A funeral to honor Mrs. Frances’ life will be held on Thursday, March 9, at 2:00 pm at her church, Road to Calvary Church, Glen St. Mary, FL. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 1:00 pm at the church. Her services will be officiated by Bro. Tommy Anderson, Pastor.
