Evelyn Hodge

Evelyn Hodge, aged 77, passed away on March 9, 2017 at Life Care Centers, in Jacksonville, FL, after an extended illness. Evelyn was born on August 26, 1939, in Zephyrhills, Florida. Her parents were Alphia Rachel Tyson and Thomas "Tom" Hodge. She is survived by four children, Robby Dale Cottle, Larry Wayne Cottle, Rhonda Jean Taylor Howell, and William Scott Taylor, all of Jacksonville, Florida. She is survived by several loving grandchildren and great grandchildren, who adored her greatly. She is also survived by two brothers, Marvin Hodge and Mark Moody, and one sister, Marcile Cruse. Evelyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Dale Cottle of Hulaco, Alabama. She worked over 20 years at Pantry Pride grocery store in Jacksonville, Florida. Family was Evelyn's first priority. She enjoyed spending time with friends, fishing, and cooking. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. at Archer Funeral Home's Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Springs Ridge Cemetery in High Springs, following the funeral services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests friends to plant trees in her honor.
