Lake Butler

With both tears and laughter, we celebrate the life of our dearly departed Eva Grace. She brought us immeasurable joy and laughter and left us with countless cherished memories. July 23, 2023, marked the day she bid farewell to this world, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will remain in our hearts.

Born on December 11, 1941, to Stoy and Anna Hicks, Eva was a fiery spirit from an early age. With her quick wit, infectious humor, and a heart full of love, she had a unique ability to brighten even the darkest days. Her spirit and comedic timing were unparalleled, only enhanced with a few sips of Pepsi Cola.

Her love knew no bounds, and she had a particular way of making each family member feel special. She had a heart of gold and was always there with open arms and a listening ear for anyone in need. We could always count on her.

In addition to her humor and love, Eva was an incredible source of wisdom. Her life experiences taught us important lessons about resilience, the power of laughter, and living life to the fullest. She made countless sacrifices to ensure that we all were in better places.

She was united in holy matrimony with her late husband, Mr. Arthur Grace.

Siblings Dora Bell Mangham, Etta Hicks, and William Hicks preceded her in death, along with her grandchildren, Donnitha Hicks and Jaiwan Cooper.

Her precious memories will be cherished forever in the hearts and minds of her survivors: Sons - Anthony (Linda) Hicks Sr. of Gainesville, FL; Billy (Gloria) Grace Sr. of Gainesville, FL; and Stanley McCreary Sr. of Lake Butler, FL. Daughter - Bobbie (Kenneth) Cooper of Keystone Heights, FL. 17 Grand Children - Billy (Akira) Grace Jr., Anthony Hicks, Jr., Tiara Jefferson, Dominick (Scoya) Grace Sr., Cassie Grace, Kenneth (Amy) Cooper, Keyonna (Gavin) Britt, Arthur Grace, Kendra Hicks, Kunisha (Gerald) McCreary Booth, Daiwan Hicks, Felicia Grace, Stanley McCreary Jr., Sequnita McCreary, Tremaine McCreary, Brittney Cooper, and Talesea Grace. 37 great-grandchildren, a sister (Janeen Jenkins), and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and sorrowing friends whose lives she touched.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 29th at Fort Call Cemetery at 11:00 AM with Reverend Lavern D. Glasco. A visitation will be held at Archer Milton Funeral Home on Friday, July 28th from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Archer-Milton Funeral Home, Lake Butler. 386-496-2008 www.archerfuneralhome.com
