Ellis Whitehead

Ellis Whitehead 83 of Lake Butler, Florida passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at Haven Hospice in Lake City, Florida on October 3, 2025. Ellis was born on February 21, 1942, in Dunn, North Carolina. He served his country as a Sharp Shooter in the U.S. Army and spent his working career as a Painter.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Linda Whitehead of Lake Butler, he is also survived by Linda’s children Penny (Douglas)Register of Glen St. Mary, Jerri Lynn Williams (Jerry Walden) of Middleburg, Freddie (Melissa) Summers of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. 7 grandchildren Joel Register, Alexander Register, Blayne (Breianna) Feagle, Tyler (Mia) Goodwin, Kaylee (Jordan) Baker, Codi Johnson, and Benjamin Summers. Great Grandchildren Sawyer and Priscilla Feagle. 1 Brother, Weldon Whitehead of Lake Placid, Florida and 1 Sister Ellen Eansen of North Carolina. He was predeceased by Stepson Dwain Summers.

A Memorial Service to honor Mr. Whitehead will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday October 6, 2025 at Archer Milton Funeral Home located at 55 N. Lake Ave, Lake Butler, Florida 32054, with Douglas Register officiating.
