Dennis Rogers

June 3, 1958 — May 21, 2026

Raiford, Florida

Dennis Rogers, a devoted family man and hardworking individual, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, at Haven Hospice in Lake City, Florida. Born on June 3, 1958, in Orange Park, Florida, Dennis was known by those who loved him as a strong man with a generous spirit—always ready to share and willing to give the shirt off his back.

Throughout his life, Dennis exemplified the virtues of diligence and kindness. He took great pride in his hands-on approach to life, particularly evident in his passion for gardening. He loved tending to his garden alongside his father's tractor, which he lovingly rebuilt with his bare hands, a testament to his mechanical skill and determination. Fishing trips in his boat brought him immense joy, as did cooking for his family and spending time outdoors simply “tinkering,” embracing the serenity and satisfaction it brought.

Dennis’s proudest accomplishments were deeply rooted in his family. He treasured being a papa and a loving family member above all else. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Gloyce Rogers; his mother, Cora Rogers; his son, Alex (Brandy) Rogers; his daughter, Allison (Brian) Coffman; his brother, Earl Rogers; and his sister, Gail Underwood. His legacy also lives on through his cherished grandchildren: Kaylee (Blaine) Roberts, Landon Dilas, Kendel Forsyth, Ryleigh Rogers, Karlee Coffman, Brooklyn Coffman, Kameron Forsyth, and Trenton Coffman. His loyal dog, Moses, shared many years of companionship and love. Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends also carry forward the memories of his warmth and generosity.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Willie Rogers; his brothers David (Debbie) Rogers and Wilbur Rogers.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

He will be remembered for his steadfast work ethic, his open heart, and his unwavering dedication to those he loved. Dennis Rogers’s life was a shining example of humility and strength, and his memory will remain a guiding light for his family and all who were fortunate to know him.
