Cyril Liston Pickern II

Cyril 'Liston' Pickren II of Lake Butler, FL passed away on March 6, 2018, after a brief illness. Liston was born on June 22, 1953 in Gainesville, FL to Cyril and Barbara Pickren. Liston is the oldest of five children and graduated from Keystone Heights High School in 1972.

Liston briefly served as a police officer for Gainesville Police Department before pursuing a career in waste water management. He retired from the City of Starke in December 2016.

In his high school years, he enjoyed playing football and running track. He coached pop warner football, loved competitive bull riding as well as many other various outdoor activities. Liston loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends.

Liston is survived by his daughter, Renee Vanzant (Donnie) his son, Kael Pickren (Jackie) - grandchildren: Ryan, Lauryn, Xander, Brayden, Elijah and Gracie - Sisters: Laura Russell (Joe), Faith Banks (Mike) and Toni Satterwhite - Brother: David Pickren (Connie), along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Liston was preceded in death by his son, Jason Kyle Pickren and his parents, Cyril and Barbara Pickren.
