Candie Raulerson

Candie Raulerson, 72, of Lake Butler, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Born on December 24, 1953, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Candie was the daughter of the late Roy and Louise Waters Pettigrew. More than 40 years ago, she made Union County her home, where she built lasting friendships and became a familiar face in the community.

For over 20 years, Candie worked as a clerk and cashier for Circle K. She was known for her warm smile, outgoing personality, and gift for conversation. A true people person, Candie never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone who walked through the door feel welcome. Her kindness and friendly nature left a lasting impression on the countless customers and coworkers whose lives she touched over the years.

Outside of work, Candie enjoyed spending time playing pool with family and friends. In her later years, she discovered a love for crocheting, finding joy and relaxation in creating handmade treasures for those she loved.

Candie treasured her family above all else. She is survived by her son, John Raulerson and his significant other, Misty Combs; her beloved grandson, Mason Eddins; her brothers, Archie Waters and David Waters; and her sister, Janie Clere and her husband, Mark. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will cherish the memories they shared with her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Louise Waters Pettigrew, and by her son, Don Raulerson, Jr.

Candie will be remembered for her generous heart, her lively conversations, and the genuine care she showed to everyone she met.
