Brian Richard Greenstreet

Brian Richard Greenstreet, Sr., was born on October 6, 1960, in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of Henry Russell Greenstreet and Beatrice Doris Vernon Greenstreet. Brian spent the majority of his life in Philadelphia or New Jersey. He moved to Lake Butler several years ago to be closer to his sister.

Brian had a larger-than-life personality. He had a funny and warm demeanor that endeared him to everyone he met. One of his cherished memories was dressing up as Santa Claus for Christmas, bringing happiness and cheer to those around him. He had a special talent for entertaining others and making them laugh. His love for animals was evident in his everyday life. Brian would go out of his way to help any furry friend in need. Whether it was rescuing stray cats or taking care of neighborhood dogs, he always showed compassion towards animals. In his free time, Brian enjoyed singing, dancing, and cooking. He found joy in these activities, often sharing his talents with friends and family. He also proudly served our country in the US Army.

In 2011, Brian made a decision to become sober. He used his life lessons to make a difference in the lives of others. Encouraging and supporting those struggling with addiction was a true calling for Brian. He was a positive influence on many people and he touched alot of people with the wisdom he gained through his experiences.

Brian passed away at his home in Lake Butler on August 18, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Beatrice Greenstreet.

Brian is survived by his children: Brian R. Greenstreet Jr., Holly Greenstreet, Todd Greenstreet, and Garrett Greenstreet; all of Pennsylvania. Additionally, he leaves behind numerous grandchildren: Brian III, Alyssa, Marissa, Christopher, Alexia, Thomas, Gabriella, Liam, Ethan, Gavyn, Jayden, Mckayla, Ava, Garrett Jr., Kaiser, Anthony, Julian and soon-to-be Carter; a great-granddaughter Alayna; his sisters, Michelle West of Lake Butler and Sheila Greenstreet of Wesley Chapel; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service to honor Brian's life will be held on August 24, 2023, at 3:00pm at Sardis Baptist Church located at SW State Rd 121, Lake Butler, FL 32054. 

Brian's final memorialization will be by cremation under the care and direction of Archer-Milton Funeral Home, Lake Butler.
