Brandon Smith, age 31, passed away on September 11, 2023, in Jacksonville, FL, after a brief illness. He was born on August 18, 1992, and has been a lifelong resident of Lake Butler. Brandon's warm personality and quick wit brought happiness to those around him. He had a remarkable ability to make people smile and feel special. An avid Florida Gator's fan, Brandon passionately supported his favorite team in every sport. He also enjoyed playing baseball or any other athletic activity. But beyond his love for sports, Brandon had a deep appreciation for nature's beauty and cherished flowers for their delicate elegance.
As proudest accomplishments go, nothing compared to being a father. Brandon cherished his role as a devoted dad to his sons Arian and Aysa Smith. His boys were his world and he loved them unconditionally.
Brandon's memory will forever be cherished by his sons as well as, father Jeffrey (Cristal) Smith of Lake City; mother Carol Smith of Lake Butler; brothers Aaron "Neuby" and Josh Smith; and his nephews Layden and Colton Smith. His presence will also be missed by numerous other extended family members and friends, all of whom were touched by his kind heart.
To honor his life and pay tribute to the joy he brought into the world, a visitation will be held on September 19, 2023, from 10:00am to 11:00am at Mt. Zion/Swift Creek Cemetery in Lake Butler, Florida. A graveside service will follow at the same location beginning at 11:00am. Service will be officiated by Bro. Albert Starling.
