Brandon Joel Fulwood, born on October 27, 1988, in Gainesville, FL, was a man who left an indelible mark on the lives he touched. Tragically, Brandon's life was cut short on December 28, 2023, in Bowling Green, FL.

Brandon was a man of honor and service. After graduating from the Paris Island Military Base in 2008, he served his country as a proud member of the United States Marine Corps for four years. His dedication to the Marines exemplified his selflessness and unwavering commitment to protecting others. Following his military service, Brandon pursued a career in law enforcement. He graduated from the Florida Corrections Academy in September 2023 while working as a correctional officer with the Department of Corrections. His dedication and hard work were evident as he swiftly climbed the ranks, and made him admired among his peers.

Brandon lived life to the fullest. He truly embodied the term "carpe diem" and seized every day. To know Brandon was to love him. He had a big heart that overflowed with love and kindness towards those around him. His infectious sense of humor brightened the darkest of days and his quick wit brought immense joy to all who knew him. Brandon had this remarkable ability to make you feel safe in his presence; it was a gift he bestowed upon everyone he encountered. His loyalty knew no bounds and he adhered to "Semper Fi" and “I have your six”.

Fishing and hunting were among his greatest passions, allowing him take time for himself and relax. Additionally, spending time with friends brought him immeasurable happiness — creating lifelong memories and strengthening bonds that will endure beyond this world.

Brandon leaves behind a loving family that meant the world to him. His beloved wife of 15 years, Britny Mullins Fulwood; his two children who were the lights of his life: Korbyn Joel (8) and Haizel Rae (3); Brandon's parents, Gordon and Michelle Fulwood; his brother, Jonathan (Andrea) Fulwood; his parents-in-law, Chester and Lisa Mullins; his sister-in-law Brandie (Ryan) Jenkins; niece and nephew, Reese and Anderson; grandparents, Chester L. Mullins, Rev. Roger and Cathy Worten, and Jewell Silcox; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were more like family. Brandon is preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. Wiley and Gloria Wooten.

On January 6, 2024, we will gather at New Life Baptist Church in Starke, FL, to bid farewell to this remarkable soul. The visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 PM. Pastor Shane Worten, II to officiate the service.
