Barbara Ellen Modisette

Ms. Barbara Ellen Modisette, age 84, of Temple, GA, passed away on January 4, 2019, at Tanner Medical Center, Carrollton, GA. Barbara was born on May 9, 1934, in Raiford, Florida to the late Cleveland Alford and the late Edna Sarah Collins Alford. Ms. Modisette lived in Jacksonville, FL for 50 years and spent 23 years and a childcare director at Parkwood Kindergarten and Preschool. She enjoyed cheering on Mark Brunnell with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tim Tebow with the Florida Gators. Barbara loved the Lord and was a charter member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God. Her family meant everything to her and she loved spending time with them more than anything. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Clyde and Carl Alford, sisters, Beatrice Gideon, Elsie Mattson, Lois McCloud and Francis Smith and granddaughter, Tracey Marie Carlton.

Barbara is survived by her sons, David G. Modisette and Larry A. Modisette; daughters, Diane Modisette-Torres and Amy Modisette-Guinn. Grandchildren and great grandchildren; Shawn, Timothy, Lori, David, Connie, Rebekah, Sarah, Rachel, Mackenzie, Adrianna, Warren, Jaselinne, Jessenia, Hannah, Aelish and arriving soon, Baby Ember.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019, at 11:00am, at Archer Funeral Home in Lake Butler, FL. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 10:00am (1 hour prior). Rev. Jorge Torres will officiate the services.
