Ann Louise Cardenas Schenck succumbed to illness on January 18, 2023, peacefully at home. Born May 24, 1948, in New York City, she spent her early life in Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Germany, trips to Cuba and Keystone Heights before settling in Lake Butler, Florida in the early 1970s. Ann was preceded in death by her father and mother, Alex and Adeline Cardenas, as well as her brother Alex and son Tony D. Kemp. Ann is survived by her loving husband Jack, sons Eric (Tiffany) Kemp of Las Vegas and Brian (Lacey) Schenck of Lake Butler, daughters Rebecca (Blaine) Norman of Lake Butler, Elizabeth (Mike) Purcell of St. Augustine and Megan (Patrick) Stephens of Niceville, Florida as well as 12 grand-children, one great grandchild and one brother Alan (Darla) Cardenas of Columbus, Mississippi. Ann operated a Home Day Care in Lake Butler for well over 30 years, having the honor to provide services for two generations. Ann retired in 2009 to assist operating Knuckle Draggers Motorcycles and Accessories in Starke until it’s closing in 2016. More than anything, Ann loved her time with her children, grandchildren and thoroughly enjoyed seeing children and now adults she cared for. She looked forward to Halloween when many visited, bringing their babies to see Ms. Ann. She will be missed dearly.
A service to honor Ann will be held at 2pm on Saturday, January 21st at Archer-Milton Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 1pm. Ann will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Dekle Cemetery.
