Albert Jefferson Andrews

July 26, 1946 — September 13, 2025

Lake Butler

Albert Jefferson Andrews, age 79, was called home on September 13, 2025.

Born and raised in Lake Butler, Albert embarked on a journey that would see him wear many hats. A man of many talents, he dedicated himself to many ventures ranging from chicken houses to owning and operating a bar and even establishing a tree service business. Each endeavor bore the hallmark of his unwavering work ethic and tenacity, attributes that served him well through a life lived fully and passionately.

In 1965, Albert distinguished himself by joining the Army, serving as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne for two years, embodying bravery and commitment that reflected his extraordinary character.

Albert was a man of the land and an ardent lover of horses. Whether he was riding or enjoying the exhilarating rush of barrel racing each time on a horse captivated his heart. Albert took great pride in helping children who sought to learn the art of riding, nurturing their dreams with the same generosity of spirit that characterized his entire life. His big heart and willingness to assist anyone in need earned him the admiration of many, as he seamlessly wove compassion into the very fabric of his existence. His ventures did not overshadow a sense of adventure found in the great outdoors, where Albert relished hog and deer hunting.

Albert is survived by his devoted sons: Albert, Jr. (Cindy) Andrews, Brent Andrews, Bart (Danielle) Andrews, and Don (Jennifer) Andrews; and a daughter, Tammy Page, along with his grandsons Luke (Brittany) Andrews, Tristan (Sonya) Andrews, Clint Andrews, and Houston Andrews. He also leaves behind his brother Alvin (Lorine) Andrews and sister Betty Zimmerman.

Though he leaves behind a profound legacy, we also remember those who predeceased him, including parents James and Ida Mae Andrews, siblings Mildred King, Amelia Morgan, James Andrews, Frank Andrews, Bobbie Andrews, R.L. Moore, Neva Andrews, Andy Andrews, Perry Andrews, and Ken Andrews, and his granddaughter, Amberly Andrews.

A visitation will be held on September 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Archer-Milton Funeral Home in Lake Butler, where family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate the life of this remarkable man. He will be laid to rest on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Andrew’s Cemetery located on SW 81st Terrance, Lake Butler.
