Willard Fredrick "Freddie" Gaskins

May 29, 1941 ~ June 12, 2019 (age 78)

Mr. Willard Fredrick “Freddie” Gaskins, age 78, of Starke, FL, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2019, at his home, surrounded by family. Freddie was born on May 29, 1941, in Baker County, FL, to Willard C. Gaskins and Vinnie Roberts. He lived in Starke all his life and worked as a master mold maker for Anchor Hocking Glass Company in Jacksonville for 44 years until his retirement. Freddie loved the outdoors especially fishing, hunting, and working. Most importantly, he loved his grandchildren and his loving wife, Claudine (Hardin) Gaskins.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Maggie Valley, NC. He was also a member of the Lawtey Masonic Lodge No. 189. Freddie is preceded in death by his daughter, Terry Gaskins; his parents; brother, Johnny Gaskins; and sister, Francis Coleman.

Freddie is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Claudine (Hardin) Gaskins of Starke, FL; children, Timmy (Michele) Gaskins of Starke, Sherri (Stacey) Bowen of Riverview, FL, Dillion (Chelsie) Gaskins and Grady (Tara) Gaskins both of Chipley, FL; 17 grandchildren, Teresa, Casey, Timmy Jr., Shelby, Savannah, Sara Grace, Sadie, Noah, Caroline, Madelyn, Karlie, Johnny, Tyler, Timmy III, Hope, Nelson, and Izzie; brother, Cecil (Cathy) Gaskins; sisters, Marie Gaskins and Debbie (Lynn) McKenzie; numerous extended family members also survive.

A Celebration of Freddie’s Life will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 2:00pm, at the Archer Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Lake Butler, FL. The family will receive friends for a visitation and gathering beginning at 1:30pm. The service will be officiated by Freddie’s son-in-law, Brother Stacey Bowen.
