Robert Dobbs

Robert Dobbs, 88 of New River passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 at his residence with his family by his side. Mr. Dobbs was born in Lake Butler, January 13, 1926 to the late Lester and Lelia Gordon Dobbs. He was a welder at DuPont for 35 years and an Army Veteran. Mr. Dobbs was an active member at Bayless Highway Baptist Church and his Sunday school class.
Mr. Dobbs is survived by his loving wife of 59 and a half years: Margie Moody Dobbs of New River; Daughters: Sheila Frampton, husband Jim of New River and Sharri Crews, husband Randy of New River; Son: Roger Dobbs of Simpsonville, South Carolina; One granddaughter: Elizabeth Johnson, husband Jeremy of Accokeek, Md.; Brothers: Kenneth Dobbs, wife Ina Jean of Jacksonville and Nolan Dobbs of Macclenny; Sister: Norma Jean Johns, husband Cleathon of Macclenny

Funeral Services for Mr. Dobbs will be held Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Bayless Highway Baptist Church with Rev. Jeffery Stading officiating. Burial will be at McKinney Cemetery following the service. Family invites friends for visitation Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at Archer Funeral Home.
